Detailed Endpoint Instructions

Polycom HDX Series

Gatekeeper Registration:
Start at the main screen and follow the instructions below:

Select the following using the cursor

  1. System Info
  2. Admin Setup
  3. LAN/H.323
  4. H.323
  5. Gateway & Gatekeeper

Enter the following information into the H.323 Settings menu:
  • Use Gatekeeper: select 'Specify'
  • H.323 Name: your site name
  • H.323 Extention (E.164): This is assigned by VCS
  • Gatekeeper IP Address: 128.227.156.75
  • Click the 'Home' button.

Polycom VSX Series

Gatekeeper Registration:
Start at the main screen and follow the instructions below:

Select the following using the cursor

  1. System Info
  2. Admin Setup
  3. LAN/H.323
  4. H.323
  5. Gateway & Gatekeeper

Enter the following information into the Gateway & Gatekeeper menu:
  • H.323 Name: your site name
  • H.323 Extention (E.164): This is assigned by VCS
  • Use Gatekeeper: select 'Specify'
  • Gatekeeper IP Address: 128.227.156.75
  • Click the 'Menu' button twice.
  • The Polycom unit should now restart.

Polycom Viewstation/FX/VS 4000

Gatekeeper Registration:
Start at the main screen and follow the instructions below:

Select the following using the cursor

  1. System Info
  2. Admin Setup
  3. LAN/H.323
  4. H.323
  5. Gateway & Gatekeeper

Enter the following information into the Gateway & Gatekeeper menu:
  • H.323 Name: your site name
  • H.323 Extention (E.164): This is assigned by VCS
  • Use Gatekeeper: select 'Specify'
  • Gatekeeper IP Address: 128.227.156.75
  • Click the 'Menu' button twice.
  • The Polycom unit should now restart.

Microsoft's Netmeeting

Gatekeeper Registration:
Start at the main screen and follow the instructions below:

Select the following using the mouse

  1. Tools
  2. Options
  3. Advanced Options

Enter the following information into the Advanced Options menu:
  • Check the box 'Use Gatekeeper to place calls'.
  • Gatekeeper: 128.227.156.75
  • Check the box 'Log on using my phone number'.
  • Phone number: 'This is assigned by VCS'.
  • Check the box 'Log on using my account name'.
  • Account name: 'Name of your endpoint' (do not use special characters)
  • Click Ok twice.
