Windows Media Streaming

Video & Collaboration Services provides video streaming with a Windows Media streaming server and a Helix streaming server. Rich media streaming presentations are available with our Mediasite encoder. The Windows Media server is capable of delivering unlimited simultaneous video streams in Windows Media and Mediasite formats to viewers. The Helix server allows for the streaming of Real Media and Quicktime video files and is capable of delivering 200 simultaneous video streams to viewers. Users of the streaming servers are recommended to create streaming files in the Windows Media format.

There is no per-stream or other direct cost associated with streaming of stored video files. However, there may be a cost associated with storing those video files.

Live Streaming

The Video & Collaboration Services Live Stream is a live encoded video stream that broadcasts the ATTV feed, satellite downlinks in progress, or other VCS events. You can arrange to live stream your own events by contacting VCS.
