How do I get access to the Techsmith Relay software?

Fill out the request form on our website, and we will send you a link to download the software. Once we have processed the request, we will send you the link to your custom catalog, where all of the recordings will be published.

Techsmith is installed. Now how do I create a recording?

Upon launching the software, you are prompted for a username and password. Log in with your Gatorlink credentials. Select a profile from the drop-down menu, and click record when you are ready to begin.

No audio/poor quality audio.

Verify your audio settings by clicking on the microphone at the top of the Techsmith window (labeled Audio). Make sure the microphone you are using is highlighted. Adjust the volume by using the slider bar.

Mac Recorder

  • OSX 10.8.x, 10.9.x, 10.10.x., or 10.11.x
  • Intel-based processor
  • 1 GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
  • Internal or external powered microphone
  • 2 GB of free hard drive space per recording hour
  • Camera video recording requires a USB web camera or internal iSight.
  • Digital video (DV) cameras and capture cards are not supported.

PC (Windows) Recorder

  • Windows 7 [32-bit or 64-bit], Windows 8, or Windows 10
  • Processor & memory – follow the recommended OS guidelines – Windows 7, Windows 8
  • Internal or external microphone
  • 2 GB of free hard drive space per recording hour
  • Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, or 2010 32-bit required for the 2013 compatible PowerPoint Add-in
  • Camera video recording requires a USB web camera or internal web camera.
  • Digital video (DV) cameras and capture cards are not supported.
